About these terms
These terms are between you and ManyHats, LLC (we, us) of 600 N Broad St, Suite 5 #3334, Middletown, DE 19709. They cover the Many Hats website at manyhats.work, the app and Many Hats subscriptions.
By using any of these you agree to the terms.
Subscription, accounts and billing
Many Hats is a subscription that costs $9.99 a month or $100 a year in USD. A new account starts with a 14 day free trial that needs no card, and each email address gets one trial. The trial ends without a charge unless you subscribe.
The app needs an account, opened with your email address. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live to open one, and you are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in secure.
Paddle is our reseller and the merchant of record for Many Hats orders, and its own terms apply to the purchase.
A subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year, depending on the plan you chose. Until you cancel, the payment method you gave is charged the price then in effect. You can cancel at any time from your account, and your plan then runs to the end of the period you paid for. We email account holders 30 days before a price change takes effect. We email a reminder before a yearly renewal where the law requires one. Monthly plans get a reminder once a year stating the price and how to cancel. The refund policy covers refunds.
When a trial or subscription ends
When a trial ends without a subscription, or a subscription ends, the app stops working until you subscribe. When a subscription ends, your information stays in your account until you delete it. Renewing brings it back. When a trial ends without a subscription, your information is kept for 90 days and then deleted. An account that has never had a paid subscription and has not been signed in to or synced for 365 days is deleted. We email the account 30 days and again 7 days before, and signing in keeps it.
Your information
The information you enter belongs to you, and you are responsible for it.
You permit us to store and handle the copy that syncs to your account to provide the service and support.
Client details and regulated information
Identify each client by initials or a code. You are responsible for what you enter about anyone else and for any law or professional rule that applies to it.
Many Hats is not made for health or other regulated records, and we do not act as a business associate for anyone.
Not professional advice
Plans, checklists and ideas in the app, including AI-written ideas where they are available to your account, are general organizing aids and not professional advice. AI-written ideas may be inaccurate or unsuitable, and you are responsible for how you use them.
Using the service
Use Many Hats lawfully. Do not try to break into the service, overload it or store material you have no right to store. Third-party websites and services reached through Many Hats have their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
Ownership and licenses
We own Many Hats, its name and its design. While your trial or subscription is active, you may use the app for your own work and household, including work you do for clients. This right cannot be transferred.
Third-party license notices are on the licenses page.
We may use any suggestion you send us without owing you anything.
Changes to the service
We may change or stop parts of the service. If we stop the service, we will tell you 30 days in advance.
No warranty
The service is provided as is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including those of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We make no promise that the service will be error free or always available.
Keep backup files of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Limits on our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, or for the loss of information that was not backed up. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Many Hats in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms limits a responsibility the law does not allow to be limited, or removes your rights as a consumer.
Your responsibility for claims
To the extent the law allows, you will cover our losses and reasonable costs from any claim arising out of your content, your breach of these terms or your misuse of the service.
Ending your use
You can stop using Many Hats at any time, and cancel your subscription or delete your account from the account screen. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. Ownership, the warranty disclaimer, the limits on our responsibility, your responsibility for claims and the governing law continue after your access ends.
General terms
If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest remains in effect. These terms and the policies they link to are the whole agreement between you and us about Many Hats. You may not transfer your rights under these terms, and we may transfer ours with the business. Not enforcing a term at once does not waive it. Neither of us is liable for a failure or delay caused by an event beyond our reasonable control, other than an obligation to pay.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, and the date at the top shows the latest version. We will email account holders 30 days before a material change takes effect. If you keep using Many Hats after a change takes effect, you accept the changed terms.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, and any dispute is resolved in the courts located in Delaware.
